Puyallup Valley Branch is very proud of several members who were inspired in 1982 by a former nun, Lupe Angulano, to establish WWEE to help struggling single mothers get a chance to create a better life for themselves and their children. Courage 360 is now a private, nonprofit 501(c) organization providing job-readiness and computer skills training along with housing and support services to low income residents in Pierce and King Counties. Courage 360 has helped more than 13,000 participants to break the cycle of poverty and build self-confidence. Their goal is to help women become self sustaining by training them to find jobs that pay more than the minimum wage. Our Branch continues to support this organization by offering a scholarship, for further education, to a former graduate of the Courage 360 program. We also support the participants with donations which may include interview appropriate clothing, purses and toiletry items.
